#1: 2000 Audi A6
Used-Uncertified (from stranger)
100,000 miles
$7,000
#2: 2004 BMW 3 Series
Used-Certified (Dealer)
35,000 miles
$20,000
This will be my first car. If I choose the option #2, I%26#039;ll have to finance it and make monthly payments for years, where as option #1 I%26#039;ll just make one payment upfront.
Do the extra miles and old age in option #1 matter that much?
Which car should I buy?
go with bmw.
100,000 is up there and all major belts, spark plugs, fluids, oil, everything needs to be changed at 100k and would cost u a good amount of money to do all that tune up. I pick the bmw b/c it has less miles and newer.
Which car should I buy?
of these 2 the BMW is more reliable
but be aware the parts and service are very expensive.
Audis are money pits.
Reply:I%26#039;ll get the beamer.
audi at that mileage needs alot of freaking works, and like all german cars, it ain%26#039;t cheap for labor or parts.
Reply:i think u shud chuck both and buy a toyota or honda for tht prize u%26#039;ll get a much better model and a more reliable car for 7000 budget
Reply:Gas mileage should also be a factor here, I would go with the Audi, unless beamer gets significantly better gas mileage
Reply:It matters more if you plan to re-sell or have trade in value on your next car. For yor first car I would take option #1 after you take the car to a certified mecanic to have it checked out. The mecanic should be a recomendation from and older adult of someone they trust. Drive the car untill it dies completly and don%26#039;t spend more than a down payment for a new car on any large repair. Why pay finance charges to a lender when you can keep your interest for Ga$. The A6 is a great car and will see 200k miles if you change the oil and take care of it.
Reply:buy the bmw
Reply:Go for the Bimmer. Even though the price seems pretty high, that is ridiculously low for that car. BMW Certification is one of the best in the business too.
Reply:I guess you should also compare insurance quotes for BMW and Audi before buying one, for example here: http://carquotes.sinfree.net
Such an car costs a lot to insure.
